My dealer has a 3120 in stock w a husky labeled 60"GB bar. Lots of guys run 3120s w 60" bars. Stihl saws are always stingy on oiling.
How do you know a 395 won't oil a 60" bar? Have you personally tried it? Mine pulled a 50" buried in very pitchy old dry fir. That generally requires plenty of oil, in which I had no problem. As far as cutting power goes, my stock 880 & 088 both struggled to pull a 60" bar when buried. A means uses saws for real making a living with them, if he says it will oil a 60" bar, im going with that mans experience. Specs mean very little as some 6 cubes will oil and pull a 60" bar much better than the "specs" would indicate. The 395 performs just like one of those 6 cubes.Nope. Is not only the Power. You need oil for the bar to.
Would do 40 but not 60.
The 395 have 95cc
The 880 have 121.6 cc (7.42 cu. in.)
Bid different on the 2 saws.
The 3120 is 118.8cc close to 880 but the manufacturing recommend only 42" Max, don't know why.....
Here is what Stihl claim for the 880:
MS 880 MAGNUM® Specifications
DISPLACEMENT 121.6 cc (7.42 cu. in.)
ENGINE POWER 6.4 kW (8.6 bhp)
POWERHEAD WEIGHT 10.1 kg (22.3 lbs.)
FUEL CAPACITY 1300 cc (44.0 oz.)
CHAIN OIL CAPACITY 700 cc (23.7 oz.)
OILOMATIC® CHAIN .404" RM, RS
3/8" RS3
GUIDE BAR LENGTHS (Recommended ranges) 43 to 150 cm (17" to 59")
STIHL ROLLOMATIC®
POWER SOURCE Gas
STIHL recommends #3626 (36 RS3 75) OILOMATIC® saw chain and 21" 3002 000 9123 Ematic™ guide bar combination. The actual listed guide bar length can vary

I've run a 60" on a 394. Full skip chain. No video of it, but I don't need to prove anything. The larges I ever see in 395, was 46. No way will take a 60 bar.
You can come back here and try other BS but if you don't have a proof don't even try.
Post a video and prove I'm wrong.

nice pics!I don’t have to I’m the one who did it, this is me cutting and my partner getting the picture. If you’ve ever ran a bar that long you’d understand why I had the power head like I did it’s a back killer really fast.

I don't as you say "BS", I have personally run a 50" in my 395 with power and oil to spare, and have no doubt it would pull a 60". You have only "seen" a 46" on a 395 correct? Did you run it yourself? Does that mean you have personal experience or are you just spouting advertised specs. There is a well respected postin pictures of what you claim wont work. I dunno, I'd like more personal usage proof from you sir before calling my statements "BS".The larges I ever see in 395, was 46. No way will take a 60 bar.

Next time you run on something big make a video and posted. I would like to see the 395 with 60 bar and walk to the tree and start cutting.
That shouldn't be a problem at all.
I'm sorry for your health problem. Hope you find a way to get better.Tell you what Gucci, I never claimed to be a pro, BECAUSE I'M NOT, however I have been lucky enough to have been able to fall and or buck large wood. I don't do it much now as I have no longer have help and my health is giving me issues. I WILL be at the PNW gtg, Springfield Oregon on the 22nd of this month. If you tell me your gonna show up, I WILL bring a 395 with 50" bar. I'm quite sure there will be large wood there for you to try it for yourself. There it is, take it or leave it but I'm done with this troll like game you seem to be enjoying.
You don't read al the post here, do you?Quick question have you ever used a 60? I’ll get right on your video the next time I’m in big wood, from what I’m looking at right this 25 year old thinning looks like east cost clear cut wood.
