I miss my Husky 257, ran strong for 17 years.
"just had my 480's out today, kinda slow cutters, but run very strong and loud!!."
Mine still runs strong after 33 years of use. It gets a decent workout every season, but not my main saw these days, as I prefer the 50-55cc saws for most firewood cutting, plus I'm getting old enough that running a small/fast saw just makes more sense.
The 480CD's were never a "home-run" in the Husqvarna line, but are tough as nails and very good power if you don't get to stupid with the bar length. They are nearly unstoppable with an 18" bar, excellent with a 20", and pretty much maxxed out at 24", at least in hardwoods. Sure, they will pull more bar than that, but deminishing returns past 24"....IMHO.....Cliff
Unfortunately, we're influencing ebay prices with all of our 181/281/288 talk. Has happened before with 2100/2101 saws, as well as the 82cc Macs, 85cc Poulans, 98cc Pioneer/Poulan Pro saws, and others. Do a search on ebay for 288XP and see what we've done. We start flappin' our gums and the ebay prices rise. You'd think I'd have learned by now....
562xp :taped:
I eould like to say 262xp but as i havent even tried one on the wood, i stick with..
242 XPG.
The 242xp's seem about as rare as hen's teeth around here. Been looking for one on ebay since I got my 254xp.
My former business partner is married to a Brazilian lady and goes to Brazil nearly every year. Unfortunately he's a major moron and we no longer speak otherwise I'd ask him to bring one back when he goes there. The 272xp is still made by Husky in Brazil, as is the 288xp and the 61. :msp_wink:

I figured. The price likely would be very high by US standards, chainsaws usually are "dirt cheap" in the US, compared to the rest of the world (that pays for the low US prices).
I figured.
I had looked at having my buddy who is married to a Swedish gal "import" a 560 for me when he went over there but darn it was expensive!
I was wondering when you wanted me to ship it, I knew I didn't talk you out of one LOL.Having cut an awful lot of wood with a L65 I'd probably choose the L77 but as I spend more time with my 272 and hopefully eventually acquire a 262 my opinion may change.
