I've been thinking about running a larger chip truck. Our current truck as an 11.5' long box. It's pretty normal for us to end up filling it up and having to dump in the middle of the job. Most of our dump spots are at least 15 minutes drive one way from our work. We're also thinking about stepping up to larger than a 12" chipper as our wood lot ends up full to quick. It's almost full this year already. We can get rid of chips pretty easily but no one around here seems to want the wood if it's not Oak or Hickory. For you guys running larger than a regular chip truck, what are you using and how well does it work?

Step up to a 20 or 25 yard box on any one of the big name chassis, international, fright liner, kenworth, Pete, mack or anything else that can carry the weight. Get an 18" chipper and go to town.
Your dump sites are they mulch yards? Or do you have a bunch of smaller places you can pick from ? Can you dump 25 yards a day without problem?
