Hey Guys,

I need bigger dogs on my 361.
Right now it's stock.
I heard I could possibly put the 440 dogs on the 361.
Is that true ???
Thanks for the feedback...

Kevin

Stihl makes a kit with a roller chain catcher for the 361. They are not as large as fallin' dogs on a 440 or a 460... but they are better than the stocker on there...

I'll look up the number for ya...

Gary

Thanks Gary,

That's exactly what I'm lookin for.

You can run the bigger dogs than the set pictured too. I have the big Stihl ones on my 361. Now I just need to find a 3/4 wrap handlebar for a decent price as the Stihl one is $175.00 incl tax. BTW I use my 361 in pine a fair amount with a little fir, some redwood and oak too. The big dogs allow alot more rotation and stand the saw off and let it run a little cooler.

Not $175.... Try $138... msrp.. for the entire kit of 3/4 handlebar, big side cover, dogs, springs, etc.. or $89 for the handle alone..

Gary

So Gary,

By the looks of it,
there's a couple holes to be made in the side cover. (passenger side)
Anything more than that ???

Do the holes match up on the drivers side of the bar ???

The instructions are easy. You need to drill the nut bosses on the side cover and the reast bolts right on.

IMO this is one of the best options available for a current saw.

They do work great!!!

I noticed that...

I just wondered about the drivers side.

If there were any additional holes to be made there.

But I guess NOT.

Thanks guys.
