I was recently cutting with my 24" bar and it started to get a little curl on the end of the cut. Didn't think much about, maybe nicked a rock or something. Put on a just sharpend chain, same thing on very first cut. Resharpen first chain. Made two good cuts then the same thing only worse. I pulled the bar off and put a straight edge on it. It was a 24" square and when the end would get to about mounting holes it would come off the bar about 1/16 of an inch, maybe less. Should the bar be perfectly flat or could this be causing my problem?

Thanks in advance.
Sam

It sounds like your bar rails are worn, did you try flipping it upside down. Call your local shop and see if they have a bar rail squeezer.

Swap the bar upside down.
Then see which way it cuts. That'll tell you if it's the bar or the chain.
