cylinder kit: Mahle vs Deco

Just received the OEM BB kit for the 6401, made by deco. But have read on here that others had used an OEM kit by Mahle...are they one in the same? I assumed the deco was German made and the Mahle was Italian. Then how could both be referred to as "OEM"?

Mahle is German and based in Stugart Germany.

My 7900 has a Mahle cylinder.

Deco, I do not know.

I've seen advertisements that say "deco" or "Deco" in the title. If you read further, they mean that it has a hole for a deco valve (decompresson)

Deco? I thought that was an abbreviation for decompression, as in it has a decomp port.

So Mahle must make the cylinder for dolmar? I guess I'm not sure where I got deco from...but the order form does refer to a deco cylinder kit. I also could have sworn I read in another thread that Mahle was Italian, maybe I was mistaken about that also.
