Yep, engraved a code in my keeper saws in a couple of inconspicuous places, if they ever were stolen I could identify them 100%.
Over here in NZ, a-holes steal saws often, a $2000 saw will fetch a quick $50 for drugs or booze among the a-hole crowd...so having pics of serial numbers, receipts etc is a must. I find putting a sign on my shed which says "Local Employment office" keeps them away....lol
