DuroStar generator. Gas runs out of air filter yet generator still runs. What's going on?

My generator worked fine last month. This weekend, I turn the petcock on only to see gas start running out of the bottom of the air filter. I took the float bowl off thinking the float might be stuck or something else obvious. Everything looked fine so I reassembled. Same thing. Gas just running out when I turn the petcock on. Oddly, the thing starts and runs fine though.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Thanks. Now I feel silly for posting. I should have looked at the thing more closely. Upon taking the air filter housing off, the problem was clear as spring water. The fuel line was split! The filter housing was blocking my view of this. It is also situated so that it appeared gas was coming out of the filter when in fact it was not.

Anyway, I sigh of relief for me that it was so simple!
