It all started after the CAD bug started running it's course. I had just got an 038 with a blown 32" bar and stretched chain. It was the largest saw I've had and it needed work. The handle was broke, it leaked oil /gas, needed a spark plug and fine tuning! I was so excited to give it run, I went out way to early and cut on some water logged crappy pine. But I didn't care, I was going to turn this lump of coal into a true Diamond! Your see! Well, it didn't work like I hoped. I got it running great, but it dripped oil and leaked gas and I decided, I can get better.
I did get it all cut up, so I pulled forward and that's when all heck broke loose!
Everything was fine, until the port side, both wheels went "ploop"!
Game over! I tryed to shuve sticks under the wheels and dig, but the Difs. were also stuck in the mud. I called a friend and he pulled off the road too, as soon as he put it in reverse, the top crust broke and down he went too! I had to call another friend, he chained to a tree acrss the road and pulled the first truck out, then it was too late, so my truck spent the night, cold and lonely in the woods! The next morning we arrived and rescued it. Lord willing, I will be getting a Warn 12,000lb winch some time this year and back into everyplace to get the wood!
These are just a few shots, we can only post 8 per thread, but I think y'all get the idea and be nice, YOU have done the same thing, havn't you!?
That is stuck!

The mud we get around here is so sticky that you would be better off taking the truck out one piece at a time!

So stuck!
The mud was runnier than a milkshack. I had to pressure wash the under carriage and pull the rear drums and wash them out and re-grease them. What a pain!:censored:

Keep a high lift jack in your truck and some cable/chain. It can pull you out inch by inch (yes slow) and has a lot of other uses working in the woods. (HF$29) At least your truck didn’t get frozen in at night….

my 88 4runner never gets stuck in the mud either.i did a solid axle conversion ,geared it and got some 33 BFG Mud Terrains.it just walks through the muck.i actually try to avoid mud.i prefer rocks.

i made more than enough money pulling Jeeps out to buy a nice Warn winch.buy more Jeeps guys!

Under the tires are some military WWII ´landing' plates or mud plates. 1 of 4 we found back... VERTICAL :clap:

Does your Dodge have a Cummings in it? I have a 97 4X4 Dodge dualie with a Cummings, biggest POS in the mud and snow that I ever owned. Keep it on dry ground and it will pull anything that I hook to it.

Looks about like around here, luckily my wood hauler is a back hoe even that has been getting stuck down to the frame, thats what the back hoe arm is for, to pull yourself out.

Been there, done that, got that tee shirt. The mud here is clay and is like a vacum when you drive on it.Down you go. Call for help.

been there done that , but I did it with a loaded 6x10 dump trailer full with wood . took a while and a couple other trucks to get it out ,sorry no pics

Are you saying that there are plates by each wheel that you can lower and lift that corner of the truck?

My god, I HOPE it doesn't have a Cummings in it!

Now a Cummins, that would be a different story :poke::laugh::jester:

Btw, my CTD eats snow, shats it out, and smells like roses the whole time. Now mud I can see as problematic just because of the shear weight of the motor... But hey, at least it ain't an IFS truck like Chevys... :hmm3grin2orange:
