Nice work there! looks real good......but one question. why did you want someone to come in and finish grade it? you can't see the sides when it's full of water! just pullin your leg man, looks really nice. How do you like cleaning them tracks!! fun fun fun sticky clay like peanut butter!
Because I wanted it to look pretty on the dam. Inside, topside and back. Yes cleaning out the rails is a real sombeech after being belly deep in mucky stinky stuff.
Niiiiiiiice ! You going to stock it? That muck would make good in a garden.
Yes we plan on stocking it.. Garden is across the road..
All I can think of now is a over run cattail festival:dizzy:
95% of the pond is too steep for cat tail growing habitat.. and when and if they do come .. I have chemicals to get rid of them.

I have a 2 acre pond and I just found this stuff http://www.clean-flo.com/lakes-enzymes-water-pollution.html

it is supposed to get rid fo the silt on the bottom and keep all the organic crap out of the pond to the original depth.. Anyone ever use this stuff....

i'm going to read about that stuff.

the problem i have is with algea. some years it gets so bad i have to rake it out of the pond with a 36" wide landscaping rake.

tried copper sulfate once...killed the fish and others and turned the water blue.

MGA,

If you go to the home page of that link I think they have a different product that gets rid of algea.

LOL the color is a dye
Once the mud settles out of the water it will be blue.
