IMG_6116.JPG Me and my 12 year old son got a good workout yesterday . This was almost all standing dead Ash with one small dead hickory. He split the majority of the Ash by himself with the x27 I did the rest with a 3.1/2 pound Council Tool ax we restored this winter. We need to do this 6 more times and we're done lol.
 
Lookin' good fellas! My wife and I just had a baby girl...hoping that she'll be my splitting' partner one day! That X27 is such a nice ax, made a huge difference when I finally got one.

Same here. I have ussed cheap cordage laid back into the stack for the same purpose but I like the boards, never thought of doing it that way.
I've used that same stack of boards for 6 years now. The rest of the stacks will run side to side between that stack and the wall
