A guy who lives near me and his son have run MS290's for their firewood business for years. The son does repair work when necessary. The saws have proved reliable and long-lasting. Of course, they weigh a lot for the power, but both father & son are 240 lbs. so the weight means nothing to them.

I'm 6-4 240 and good shape, and weight means something to me.

Of course. I misstated the issue; should have said, "both father & son are 240 lbs. and care more about the purchase price than the power/weight ratio." The old man should care about saw weight, though; he walks around on an artificial knee.
