As far as the dawgs are concerned, you usually only use a couple of inches of the tip of the bar so you don't cut through the rafters that you are standing on.

The large handle makes it easier to start with gloves in low light conditions.

Stoped by my local dealer today to see about getting a 60" peavy as uasual never has what I want in stock. Also inquired about the available options for the 460. Appairently there is no way of just getting the long style clutch cover & roller catcher without the 3/4 wrap handle. As near as he could recall when ordering it had a "W" designation instead of R. Seems as though stihl could easly accomadate but as it stands now stuff like the DP cover & vairus other items must be ordered separatly.
