Just know that most of Oregon doesn't like that Portland is here, either. Definitely don't take that freakshow asylum and open air outhouse to represent the whole state.

I get to hear the same BS about Detroit on social media sites. At least people here don't look down their noses at Detroit and most of the commenters on social media only parrot what someone else says and I'm sure they have never been there.

I have, numerous times and I'm here to tell everyone that what you read about Detroit and the way it is are 100% opposite.

I will admit that Detroit has it's slums, every metropolitan city does but we go there quite often and I used to carry when we went there. Don't anymore, I actually feel safer there than say in Toledo, Ohio (talk about slums and crime there it is).

We go to baseball and football games there, frequent the Greektown food places (some of the best German food is there) and go to the casino (wife likes gambling) I don't but the casino also has good food, so I eat while she pizzes her money away.

I had bad gas a few days ago after eating chili. My wife was not impressed and it made a mess of the undies but it to has passed.
