The power rating is quite a bit down from the 7900, 4.3 kW vs. 4.6 kW - sorry to bring the bad news. :too_sad:

The base of the cylinder looks a bit thicker as well.

They probably just added some meat to the base as a way of raising the cylinder to lower the compression :msp_mad: Echo has been doing it for years to help the traditional 2 strokes meet the tier 3 emissions. All it means for us is just a little more material to remove to make it right.
Yep - weight is seriously up as well, in addition to less power....
I'll put a 7900 and a 7910 fresh out of the box on the scale tomorrow-Don't visually see any reason for this comment on the weight but the scale will tell..................
Carb is adjustable with the small splined nutdriver tool like J-red and Husky use.

Why have the muffler protruding into the cylinder?
Not sure exactly how it works-But I believe it helps the scavenging to make it burn cleaner. If you look at the side by side pic of the two cylinders the exhaust posrt are similar in size but tha 7910 cyl is flanged tohold the tube from the muffler.

That could be a paper only spec. as you always say!!
