Twin trees are pretty common but I had one that WAS half Maple and half Oak. A wind storm a few weeks back broke the Oak half and created a bit of a mess with the other trees it collected on the way down.

The tangle. Lots of stuff under tension in there.

20" bar on the 357xp for scale. Odd how the fun leaves when you get to the bigger rounds.

I still have the main portion to buck but I didn't have the time this morning to get it all done. I should have it split and stacked on Saturday.

moak....that's a good one. Don't see those very often. Stay safe cleaning up that rats nest. Looks like more than a few branches waiting to slap you...in the face or the junk!

That's a spiffy tree! Little work, but a lot of wood!

I had a similar two species twin two summers ago, a..hmm..hackedashberry!

If you'd shown me that pic a few years ago, I'd have had a hard time believing it. Somewhere on AS I have a pic of a cherry tree grown into a double white oak, suprised the heck out of me when I first saw it.

I've got a few Meechs &/or Baples, don't think I'll ever cut them unless they die, too much fun to look at
