Wonder if you all might tell me the names of the ttexts and manuals that certified arborists and (now) certified master arborist's use in the area of hazard tree consulting. What text, manual, etc. is most commonly accepted and used as the standard of industry for evaluating hazard trees in urban areas. Or any area for that matter. Appreciate your guidance and advice in this specific area.

This is free, and provides an updated look, since the isa book has been out ten years now. I just looked at an inventory done for a nearby town--264 trees with defects noted, 264 recommended for removal, no other care considered. John Davey must be spinning in his grave.

Try to get out of the mindset of identifying hazards, and realize that risk is everywhere. The arborist's job is to rate the risk and act to lessen that risk, not to clear-cut the earth.
