I have a stove that drafts well. I would like to patch a couple of the seams with a high temp patching product. There is only a problem upon startup and once the draft is established there is no smoke coming out.

Can someone recommend a stovepipe patch product?

Thanks!:):)

You can seal the seams with stove or furnace cement. It must be rated to 2000 degrees as the typical rultand black cement is.

First though, you shouldn't need any sealer if everything is done properly.

The problem only occurs within the first 5 minutes of startup prior to the draft being established.
