I'm just getting into this and have a LOTto learn but just for fun I've been thinking about my aresenal:

1. MS-192 T C-E (already own)

2. MS-260 pro (will to sell my MS-290 first, put money towards)

3. MS-361 C-Q

Obviously the 192 will be my primary climbing saw, the 260 will be for climbing also (for taking sections of the trunk down), primary bucking as well, and the 361 will be for larger bucking, felling, and flushing.

Does this sound like a well thought-out lineup? Thanks for any replies.

By the way I am selling the MS-290 not because I don't like it, it's a great saw, but it's just a bit heavy for the amount of power it puts out, would not want to take it into the tree with me, that is for sure.

Get rid of the 192 and get a 660.
Pass on the 260 and get a 660.
Sell the 361 and get a 660.

Rename yourself Ultra2.

its 99% of everyone on as favorite saw...enough said if you havent run one then you need to..you will e hooked.

To hell with what we think. Buy what you desire...

but... ;)

Get the 361 - it's my favorite "goto" saw, and I live in the land of big wood.

The 192 is cute and light...

Skip the 260 and save your pennies for a bigger saw, or, just buy a good used 026/260 as a backup (to cut out your stuck 361) for $200.

Why stop at a mere 660? An 880 is what the man needs!

192/260/361 is not a bad combo though. I am looking to replace my 025/250s with an 026. I wish the 260 had AV though. I am half tempted to get a 270 for the AV. A 440/441 would be good for bucking large tree stumps too, but I found the 440 to be heavy and to have lots of vibe, so I opted for a second 361 instead.

As you can see in my signature, I've pretty much got your lineup. I don't know if it's my CAD or a real need, BUT I've got to get a 460. I've only run an 046 once and it sure had some snot, but right now $$$$ so tight that I hope that I can swing the 460 before it's discontinued (or I'll get a 461). In reality, unless I stumble across a used one, a 660 probably will never follow me home. Oh, well.

I certain like your line-up. :chainsaw:

When I was doing it professionally it was 020T, 026, 044.

You will want something bigger than 60cc, trust me.

As you have two 361s there is little point in getting a 270, as it isn't much lighter.

346xp sounds much better......:)

Sounds good if you don't have any really large trees, but get the 361 without the C-Q.

At some time I guess you will want a larger saw, regardless what you think by now.......:)
