Move to Ontario if you like winter and lots of it LOL
At least that is the theme of the last two winters.

You can tell everyone has endured winter :) just saying.

Whats wrong with being a redneck
Nothing‼ Not a damn thing‼
I'm not 100% sure which way slowp meant it, but...
The label of redneck (or hillbilly) ain't "nasty racism"... redneck ain't a "race".
Or... being a redneck (or hillbilly) don't make you a "nasty racist".

Us rednecks and/or hillbillies (or wanna be farm boys  ) ain't "embarrassed" by what we are... and we sure-as-hell don't believe being what we are makes us "associated with nasty racism" either. The terms redneck and hillbilly ain't "overused"... but, "in this day and age" the race card is way, way, way overplayed. The only commonality between redneck and racism is what Hollywood has invented. A redneck is a redneck, a racist is a racist; a person may be both, just one or the other, or neither... but in no way is one associated with the other (except in the minds of indoctrinated followers).

I waited a bit for slowp to respond to you're question before posting (kind'a wanted to see her answer)...
But... in reality... her comment was nothing more than her liberal elitism shining through... she believes herself to be above the "redneck" (or hillbilly) label. Whatever... she ain't got no worries... she ain't even close.

What was it Obama said in San Fransisco about the non-believers of socialistic liberalism?? Oh yeah...
"...they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
That's exactly how they see us rednecks, hillbillies, and however else you label yourself in "fly-over" county... (don't forget wanna be farm boys).
If you ain't a believer... you're a gun totin', bible thumpin', hateful, racist, isolationist in need of enlightenment.
Sad... so very sad...

Thank you slowp for your three post rant full of very useful information. Your attempt at online intimidation was successful and I have learned my lesson, I will try to never question your authority again, and I will stay a flat lander for the rest of my days. You can go give yourself a gold star now
:laughing::laughing::laughing:

Where exactly did my post mention being offended?? Where exactly did my post so much as indicate a lack of understanding??

Outdoor pursuits?? You mean like skiing?? Where they build ski lifts, lodges, gift shops, parking lots, access roads and whatnot??
Sorry girl... but that ain't no better than a golf course or shopping mall in my world. An outdoor pursuit to me would be hunting, fishing and trapping... your ski slopes ain't no different than a camp ground, parking lot, or garbage dump in my world.

Selfish??
Let's try a different descriptive... how 'bout arrogant?? You somehow believe (and present as material fact) that you live somewhere "more special" than anyone else. Just using one example, you somehow believe (and present as material fact) that every electron entering your home comes from "clean 'n' green" hydro... even though actual data (material facts) have been presented that show that just ain't so. You somehow believe (and present as material fact) that it's your job (because you're "more special") to protect this "more special" place from the ruination of the outside world (but a ski slope is OK... because that's your idea of an outdoor pursuit).

No girl, there ain't one single thing "hard to understand" 'bout you... the predictability is laughable.
And here's a news flash... the only thing "more special" about the place you live is in your own mind. I've been where you live... and I've been to places a lot "more special" than that. You really should get out (of your self-cocooned world) more...

I've been to Ohio... good, friendly, down-to-earth, plain-spoken, hard-workin' people there.
Thanks for the invite...

I'm in‼ And I'll also bring beer (don't wanna run short... ya' know). But let's wait until May... after it warms up a bit, and before the Minnesota State Birds (mosquitoes) get too thick‼

Come on up!
We're having a fire tonight to burn up all of that curly willow I cut this winter. I've got a case and a half of beer and 2 full bottles of scotch and bourbon.

Isn't that just considered every day fun?

Like racing 2 70's Chrysler Imperials on a dirt bike track that's at a friends house?

Holy Crap‼
Can I bring the '73 (maybe '72, maybe '74) Family Truckster
Please.... Please ‼

It was an absolute blast and one was that same brown.

You would be AMAZED at how well those land yachts fly through the air off of a table top jump. Actually, we all were amazed.

Me to the Neighbor (He was the wheelman) - Ummmmm....Hey....What are you doing?

Neighbor - Taking a short cut. They'll never see it coming and we will be out in front.

Aaaaaaand...Out in front and above we were. They never saw it coming. :D
