Husky 450

Buying a new husky 450 and wondered how to modify the muffler to get more power. Also would a new larger carb be worth it?

450 is a good little saw. I love mine. I took out muffler screen and made the hole a little larger. just take out mixture screws cut slots in them so you can adjust it. If your looking for a screamer dont get the 450 lol. 346xp is the way to go!

Why buy a 450 then spend the best part of $100 on a carb to up its power, just buy a stronger saw.

Well I wouldn't be doing anything soon. Maybe a muffler mod, carb would be later

I agree. just muffler mod and adjust carb if anything otherwise Just like I said before get a 346 if your looking for big power. my 450 was great until I got my 346 lol.

The 450 will cut plenty of wood. If you decide you would like to try a 346, check the classified section. There is a 346 listed currently that meets your price range.
