Look for a big bridge!

Thats a biggun. A 325 gallon pump would give you a cycle time of about 54 seconds, assuming a 10" ram. That is pretty darn quick, 4-5 inches/sec. Also, that is a 471 ton at 3000 psi

What is the calculation to determine how much horsepower is needed to provide 325 gpm at 3000 psi?

Wyman Gordon's 50,000 ton forge press laughs at your cute little cylinder.

data

;)

Required HP = (Pump GPM x PSI) / 1714

This theoretical setup would require 568.8 hp. (Sorry treeguyinoh.. you're off by a mere 100 hp.)
