Identify this tree.

My older brother had a tree fall in his yard this past weekend, and took out the pool and fence. I told him to save the tree and ill come over and mill it into slabs. My only issue is I'm not positive on what kind of tree it is. My guess, was a maple tree.

Base is about 2ft wide.
