I bought this Super EZ off ebay about a year ago. It was just listed... $25 buy-it-now with the case. :smile2:
Runs great, piston looks new. About 6 months ago I found a NOS Western kit for the Super EZ. I finally had time today to install it.

Here's some pics of the saw. It even has the original Homelite chain.

Here's what the Western kit consists of. Full wrap handle, different muffler cover, and all the hardware/brackets.

Was the kit more expensive than the saw? :msp_biggrin:

The kit was also $25. The seller had 2 kits he had just listed. I bought the one, then minutes later I decided to buy the other one, but it had already sold. :(

That looks nice. But where are the double BIG dawgs? :biggrin2:

I was wondering about that. Did these ever come with a spike? It's drilled for one. I have 4 of these saws and none have a spike.

Maybe those old timers were tough enough to just muscle through the cut?

Only pic I have that shows the spike. Took this right after I got the saw. Still covered in grime...............and wearing the 3/8" LP safety chain. Swapped it over to .325 pitch after this.

Here it is, wearing the .325 pitch B/C and sitting next to its SXL-925W big brother.

The XL Mini I have has a spike but it is a different shape to the one listed in the spike kit in the IPL[ Pt#A65181 I think as printing is blurred on my copy] So am not sure if this is OEM or a previous owner made to fit jobby. Sorry no pics as grand daughter has BORROWED my camera at this time
