If you had to pick 2 new Jonsered saws ...Which would you pick and why would you pick these ??

This would be only the present line up...

2252
2253
2258
2260
2166
2172
2188

2253 & 2260

I already have a 2172 and don't need another! And I have a 555 Husqvarna, the 2260 is essentially a 555 red with the better ignition and top end from the 562xp. Has the rev boost and a bit more power. And the 2260 is better looking than its orange cousins. SO I would pick a 2260 first as that is a saw I would use for.... just about everything. AND a 2253 is a better looking 550xp. Should have a new generation small saw for limbs and smaller work where light weight matters.

Having said that the 2252, 2258, 2166 are about the best bang per buck saws on the planet. And they look better than their 545, 555, and 365xt cousins as well. An awesome line up they have right now. And they still have some old things like their version of the venerable 455 Husqvarna and 450 Husqvarna's in red for the occasional user of saws.

I have a 2252 set up with 18" and a 2258 with 20".... bang for the buck is so very true.......

2166 is a real bargain.....

2253 & 2260

Here as well - but it obviously depends on where you are and what you cut.

Obviously the OP knowns enough about chainsaws to make his own decisions - so I don't really see the point with this thread, except :p?

Nothing wrong with that though, as it has been a bit dull here lately! :)

Another 2253WH is something I consider rather then any other saw.
Love the balance, performance and it has very low vib.

What Jonsered miss is a lightweight saw, and their version of 576XPG, would buy them both.

Troll I sell these in my shop and Im looking for feedback on the models listed.....

I have run all of them and looking for others opinions on them....

Here in East Central Wisconsin

The 2166 is a hot seller over here ...as they all do the ahem....never mind

2252 and 2258 are hot to firewood guys in this area....cost is big factor

Pro guys are liking the 2253 and 2260 ...sure wish we had a large mount version of the 2260 in red...

2252 & 2258 are probably the best bang for the buck in firewood saws, as is the 545 & 555 in orange.

I'd rather have the small mount like on the 2260 instead of the large mount on the 562xp. If I didn't have the 562, I'd buy a 2260 right now. I like the small mount for lighter weight and lighter bar options, but the 20" TechLite bar on the 562xp makes a Nice set up!

I totally agree, and got a 20" Tsumura Light&Tough for my 560xpg, because the 20" Techlite doesn't come with the small mount (I hope it eventually does though).

The red version of that saw is the 2260WH.

What is a speed bump?

If I fully squeeze the trigger they have rapid response. If I partially squeeze, then partial response. This is no different than my other saws.

The bump behind first finger on trigger........I have a few guys that didn't like that.....They liked the performance just not that trigger bump...
