Hard to say. Smaller home, more seasonal temperatures year round, car-free lifestyle, reliable sources of wood reasonably close to home... He may not need as much for heat; plus a load or two a week throughout the year adds up.
 
hes more of a man than me, i dont even like walking out to the shed to get the fourwheeler going.
 
when i was just a tyke i had the only two wheel skidder in the world. i could move a jag of dead spruce with a bananna seat bicycle and a bongee cord. i needed the elasticity to get going. but once i was on gravel boys could i go. ya did have to be careful of corners because the lean on the bike would would let the log swing in and then pull the bike over. the result might explain a few things about me though.....
