I have enough good oem parts to build a really nice 460 including a d cylinder from a 46 that’s mint. All I’m missing is a good crank case. I went ahead and bit the bullet and had my dealer order me a new set of cases. He said they come with the bearings installed.... is this correct? If so what is the proper way to install the crank if the bearings are already in the cases ?

Heat them, gently,to 325or so, be ready with case gasket etc...ive heard varying opinions on trying to cool/freeze the crank, i dont anymore, i dont like the condensation that forms. Either way, i like to have extra long case bolts handy to pull it together enough that the stock bolts will grab. Dont be scared of a little popping and creaking as you pull it together. Some go together like nothin, some dont. Try to work quickly
