MS261: Broke my handlebar. Where to buy and how much are they?

The handle changed in 2015. Old one was 1141 791 1700 and the current one is the 1141 791 1706. The newer handlebar came with the weight reduced, updated MS 261 in 2015. I don`t know exactly what the difference between these 2 handles is. Maybe the newer one is made of plastic (like on the MS 361).

Looking at the ipl diagram, the heated handle looks like a metal one, but the other two look the same.
So yours is a metal one? The ones on e-bay are plastic.

The new version (v2) of the 261 has a plastic handle except for the heated handle, which is metal. And warm. Also it adds letters to an already ridiculous model number. Mine is a TMms261cmV2vw.

Ok. To me, it appears that my handlebar is #22...the one HarleyT has circled in red. Based on the attached photos, what do you guys think?

So I found two handles on eBay with the 1141 791 1706 part number and neither is like mine. Neither have those indentations as Harley circled in red.

I don't see a part number on this handle...but I have not taken it off. Anyone know if there's a number stamped on it some where?

So you don't know if the one on the MS261 is metal?

No I don`t know it, because I don`t have a MS 261. On the pictures from rustyb it looks like plastic. Especially visible on the first one where it is broken.

It is the latest updated version. The change was in 2015. Next year the MS 261 will be availible as a updated version again in Germany.

The A means something inconsequential, I am sure.
You need to take the screws out of the 2 AV mounts, and work the spring one on the bottom out prying with a flat screwdriver.

One on ebay I found is listed as 1141 791 1706 yet looks different than my 1141 791 1706 A.

Yours looks like mine....and the one from ebay you posted a pic of earlier looks like mine...but, it is listed as a 1141 791 1700!

What the heck!!!???? This shouldn't be that difficult! Has Stihl changed parts without changing part numbers?
