what do you thing of the pitting on this cylinder? Just got it in the mail today...pit is above intake...is this trash?

If it was an eBay item and the spots in question weren't mentioned in the description then return it.
If you're stuck with it then run it. You can always pop the muffler off to check on it.

Yes..those are the two spots.

As small as they are I'd run it and check on it after a few tanks.

I've had a jug in my hand that had almost identical pits. Do you think this is a playing deformity?

I've seen much much worse.
Almost every older 1128 series cylinder I've seen has had pitting just like that.
Run it and don't worry about it.
