Hitting a nail is not good, hitting a RR spike ... OUCH!

One deer hunter told be that years ago the tree was probably used to make a deer stand and the spikes were pounded in to help make it easier to climb. Then the tree grew around the spikes. I suppose that's possible.

Regardless, I could have hit the spikes ten times rather than miss them ten times.

I know, Right??? With my luck, I would have hit at least half of them,,, twice!!!
