My wife went to an auction and bought a couple of things for me.

Whats in the boxes? I spie with my little eye something red... oh and some bars

The middle one has NOS Homelite parts, housings, oil pumps, clutch parts, etc. There is another box inside of the truck with more parts in it. I haven't had time to go through them yet.

There were several NOS Oregon and Homelite bars. No long ones though, 18" and less.

There is also another box full of manuals inside of the truck that they had removed from a Homelite catalog bank. They sold them separate from the bank. They are mainly owner's and parts manuals.

DOOOHHOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rock::rock::rock::clap:

Head to town and get the goddess a gift Cert. for "The works" at the girly spa, pick up posies and her favorite bubbly stuff on the way back home!

You owe the gal hard for that score!!!
Gonna take YEARS of putting the lid back down alone. WOW!

The Super XL....I don't remember 'em looking that good back in the day. Nice.

Stay safe!

If you can PM me with her sisters info, it would be appreciated!

:hmm3grin2orange:

Nice haul, Congratulations!

That limited edition blue Homelite would bring some pretty good cash on fleabay. It looks mint. You have a fine wife.

Lucky man.... I have always been in the other "boat" myself. I come home from work and there are saws missing cause someone thought I had to many. When she finally left, all I could think was how glad I was that we were not married and I got to keep all my stuff.

Seriously? I would have quit feeding that one...like a cat, they will get lunch elsewhere..making a saw disappear is a grievous error..

Can I get you to have your wife call my wife and explain things to her ?
Nice haul, by the way !

I mentioned to my wife that I wished I didn't have to work this last Saturday so that I could go to this auction. It was at the home of one of the oldest chainsaw dealers in Springfield. I was surprised when I started getting text messages from her with pictures of the items at the auction asking me how much to give for them. Here is a group photo of what she ended up getting.

A really nice Super XL Limited Edition. I put gas in it and it started right up. It runs great.

I LOVE my wife!:msp_wub:

Well, my wife did it again.

She picked up this Homelite 750 for me. I couldn't check it out because I had committed several weeks earlier to visiting some coworkers that I hadn't seen for 30 years and other family in North MO. She used her lunch hour and made a 1 hour trip and picked it up for me.

Seems like she's better at getting saws than you are. :msp_w00t:

Definitely an enabler.

Holy CRAP! First your lovely wife spends the day at an auction bidding on cool chainsaw stuff for you (I'm especially envious of that thick McCulloch binder of knowledge).........................then she made a 1-hr trip on her lunch break to pick up a Homelite 750 for you??? Fantastic!!! You are sollidly in the "I owe my wife BIG-TIME for this" camp. Take care of your lady. Now I need my Jenn to pick up a 750 for me...

That little Homelite trimmer was identical to one my mother had. Ran great for many years, which I found amazing as the little motor was right in all the gunk and grime.
