Great wood! I was putzing with some hickory today, splitting rounds cut last fall. Stringy...much prefer clean straight oak to split, that's fast fiskars fodder, that hickory makes you work for those great BTUs! And each split, you get a blast of that great smokey bacon like smell, love it.

ya know... Speaking of a kiln, I could see a sticky thread on how to build a kiln to dry your firewood! Complete with a shed to park your processor under, and a spot for all the hydro splitters. Oh, and a shop in the back to store all the saws and such.
