Heck, I've seen some outfits trade up for a new saw every 2 years.
now's your chance, buy a Stihl!!!
Yup, you have the chance to buy a real saw now. Find a 440, 441 or 460!
:jester:
$450? Sounds a little high. What parts are you putting into it? What about a BB Kit.
I was thinking, bearings, seals, cylinder, piston, vent, fuel lines, impulse line and was thinking of using OEM but it may change! I already have the stroker lol so a basically new non epa xp is worth 450 right? I know it ain't in resale but I am not selling it ya know!
I will never buy a 8 month saw again. I would wear a 440 out in two days trying to get done what my husky did in one imho.
Sound good what you want to do though. Will be nice to have new bearings and fuel lines, impluse, filters done.
For sure, if you are going to do it right, might as well go all the way.:chainsawguy:
I guess if ya go all OEM then ya, but how much for a OEM cylinder and piston? Sound good what you want to do though. Will be nice to have new bearings and fuel lines, impluse, filters done.
That's right!
With the hours this saw has bearings to me is a must have I mean if you let them go too long the crank will possibly become damaged and a full rebuild is what I am after.
Ya, just do everything, don't forget the gasket kit!
Ya mean budweiser cartons wont work No really I don't drink lol I already have the gasket kit on hand!
Nice, I've used the Baileys gaskets the last few builds and they've been good.
I may be asking for :help: this will be my first full build!
