I did it 2 years now I was reading a old school snow mobile mechanic you can start a snowmobile with starting fluid just don.t run it. I was out to prove it. What is it worse to a saw out of fuel for storage? The old lawn boy was started many times with starting fluid. The old rig has to close to be 30 years old . I run the Amsoil 80 to 1 in all my 2 stroke . What I never seen? A 4 stroke the manufacture calls for x amount of oil. To be really lucky if any one checks it. Or change it . When it comes to amount of oil. I would just about bet. No one checks the car lawn mower or let the oil change last way to long. Most get way to freaky with 2 stroke. Why that is not enough oil I will add more. My thing most never check the oil. By mistake I added to much oil. What happen? A big mess

I might run 2 tanks of fuel a year threw the old Lawn Boy I bought at a auction about 10 years ago. I seen a person pull the starter rope. Had to have a little muscle to pull it. The person said it was blow up. I was waving at the Dumb A auctioneer never looked at me and was selling for about 10 bucks. Round 2 I bought it. My thoughts. Bring fake experts to auctions to buy cheap. No good engine will roll over with ease.
