pine burned in brush fire, prune back?

hi all,
I have a small pine burned in brush fire, should I prune it back?
Its about 5' and charred well at the base.

...and time. Wait and see what happens to it. It may take a turn for the worse, or it may thrive. I wouldn't take anything off until I was absolutely sure, especially on a 5' tree.
 
Did the fire zip right through or did it linger around the pine for a while? Pics would help. I do a lot of prescribed fire in prairie and woodland here in S. WI so I take great glee in killing pines with fire. That said it's surprising what some trees will withstand. It really depends on the how hot the fire was and how long the tree was in the fire.
