Caps from the P51 on up should all fit your saw, all the rear facing decomps will fit your cylinder but I can`t ever remember seeing a decomp on a 41, probably made some with and some without.

I'm thinking of the Poulan pro 455 cylinders. But they may still work. Correct me if I'm wrong ,but isn't the 455 the same as a p45? The specs look the same!

The decomp`s would be the same, yes almost a copy of the P45 with some color differences, most Poulan Pro had grey handles and grey fuel+ oil caps , they are not a saw I seen much of. Once Pioneer was through in Peterborough no dealer around here would carry them.

I have a few like that here also that just wiggle around, but still feel like they work.

No, they are rather scarce here, any of the saws made after 1985 were not stocked by dealers around here, they all dropped the stuff like hot potatoes.

Yes! Almost every cover I have has pieces broken out of the back of the cover.

Save all the fuel caps and any stuff to do with the chainbrakes and of course any coils/modules. These parts are the most sought after in my experience.

Got the P-51 all squared away. Starts in three pulls, idles and operates fine.
Defeated the governor while I had the carb apart.


Snagged the 28" off evilbay two years ago. Also have a NOS 18" for him.
