Tecomec/precision tooling now sells pistons/rings for a lot of the older saws

No...Tecomec is a brand marketed by Precision Tooling and are made in Italy.
Tecomec market about the best aftermarket P&C kits...very good quality.

Precision Tooling also makes many other things besides chainsaw parts..for instance they mfg a pile of aftermarket (and better than OEM in a lot of cases) Ducati Superbike parts. Very cool stuff!!!!!

Italian.

They make parts for high end motorcycles too (Ducati).

See the jpegs for a 038M tecomec (52 mm) compared to a shopworn (new) OEM 038S assy (50 mm).

Nice clean casting with no flaws/slag as with the machining.

Mass was a little lighter than factory 038M

I should have put 2+2 together and figured Tecomac was Italian- from the chain grinders.
