It was a little bit of a process making it, but not too difficult. I cut the plate out then bent it. I then put it on my turn table in the mill and cut the flat area for the filter. I milled the front slot for the fastener and then drilled both holes and countersunk the rear one to make a seal. I then used weather stripping foam to seal it to the saw. I never held the original replacement part before, but I figure the downfall of what I made is the weight of it. I am sure it ways several oz. more. However, I still like it.
