I bought this oil on impulse yesterday at a local auto box store. Is it a decent oil for home use chainsaws? If it is garbage I'll toss it to someone else and get some better stuff. I've used Amsoil 100:1 mixed at 50:1 in the past . I don't need enough Amsoil stuff right now to merit a "dealer" order so I am not likely going to get the Amsoil any time soon.
Thanks

Premium synthetic oil mixed @ 50:1 is sufficient for any of today's saws . Amsoi l is likely the preferred oil for many saw and small air cooled engine users . I currently use Sabre in all my 2 cycle engines . However Echo , Stihl and Poulan also makes quality syn oil !

Thanks all. I don't own any new saws. I only have a poulan 25da,a Partner 500 from the early 80s and a dolmar 120si from I have no idea when as I got it from a pawn shop in 2012. I rarely use a chainsaw these days but I don't want to use junk oil. After reading this thread I'm confident I can use it and maybe just mix it at 40:1 for all saws and tub e them to this mix. Sound reasonable?

Echo, Stihl, and Poulan do not make oil.

Oil companies make oil.
Nobody makes oil it's a long natural process OIl companys extract it & blend it Echo, Poulan, & Stihl ,don' blend oil they just put out a spec (or not)for tender & an oil blender does the job. Stihl used to be blended by Castrol most of the oil company's own brand oil is superior & cheaper to saw brand prioducts
