Don't want to start a big debate, but I can't find an answer to this question with the search function -

Would Skip Chain be appropriate for limbing (up to 3") and thinning young growth of similar size (I read that it is kind of grabby)?

On my dad's property there is a mix of pine and fir up to about 20" and lots of young stuff that needs to be thinned. For felling and bucking of the bigger stuff I would like the skip for faster cutting (MS361 - 20" WITHOUT muffler mod -yet :hmm3grin2orange: ) - but not sure about using it on the small stuff.

And yes - I am a one saw outfit right now.

Thanks,

John

I do... it's kind of grabby so be careful... power, then wood...
