Looking for info on removing the clutch on a Remington 770. The nut is off but I can't tell if it's a press fit, keyed or a spin off clutch.

Thanks

Nut? !!
IPL don’t show a nut.

Left hand threads. Block the piston with a chunk of softwood. Improvise a spanner wrench.

By the way, I have two or three Oregon rim drive drum kits to change the Bantam types to something besides 7/16” chain.

#10619. Not worth a **** if the bronze bushing is missing.

The 990 IPL's also do not show a nut for securing the clutch...

What you talking about? Pics would help.

See pics in the above post. There's a RH nut outboard and a LH thread, larger diameter inboard. I got the clutch off.

Maybe a later or earlier version or just the design used at the plant in Toronto.

Still hoping to find an IPL as it is being stripped down.
