Can someone help me, i will remove the limiter caps from my Stihl 291.
Can someone discribe me, how i remove them?
The saw is running to lean in stock form.
Sry for my bad englisch.

I tried it with a drywall screw but i can't pull them off.
Can i pull them only in one Position?

Those saws have odd limiters try a small pair of side cutters to trim the tabs.

Should be all the way out counter-clockwise. I've found that if you get one shot with the tool (if not in right position it strips) after that it takes finesse.

There is a tool for there removal. It has left hand threads. Screw it down in the opening and it will turn the limiter to the left until it reaches the stop then pull it out. Set your carb. then replace the limiter. If you want the need in the middle of the available travel so that you will have a little adjustment either way you will have to turn the needle to compensate for the adjustment you will make on the needle to get it back to the middle of the adjustable space before you replace the limiter. I hope this is intelligible because I wrote it and I am having trouble understanding it. Tom

I have allready retune the saw, i only lift the limiter a Little bit with a drywall screw and then i tune the H screw with a 2mm allen
