Saws that surprised you...

What saws have you used that you didn't think would be all that great, yet went above and beyond. And on the flip side, ones that you just don't get the hype. No brand wars please....

Me? My 545. I can't imagine a 550xp. With a 16 and some chisel it's an animal.

Disaapointed? Anything with farmboss on it. Lol

I'd have to say the ne 346 xp and not because of the power, but the smooth av as compared to my 036 pro.

024 woodboss. The biggest reason it impressed me was because of my low expectations. I've run an ms260 quite a bit and expected the 024 to be its weakling little brother but it ripped! I am comparing a like new 024 to a well seasoned 260 but I'm sure that 024 would keep up no problem!

A friends Poulan 4200 was surprisingly strong. I'd say my stock MS660 was the least impressive pro saw I've ever ran. Non of the hyped up 60cc saws "361, 362, 562" ever did anything for me.

i definately did not like the 562. I was much more impressed with ported 359s... but I love 262xps.My favorite saws are all 2 series husq.

Agreed on the 660. Never ran a ported one, but stock it was disaapointing. My 395 feels like twice the saw.....

The 395 I ran was powerful, it needed a little tuning. But it felt heavy compared to the 066, and just didn't care for how they were put together.

that's bc it is. hands down the most impressive saw I have ever run is my Tgerloff 395xp. That saw is stupid strong and holds rpms like no other.
