Been a busy week. I can pick up that Wheelbarrow later today if you need it - I'm at the state swim meet in Holland this weekend. So there will be no firewoodin' pics. Maybe tomorrow.
It's not far from me, plenty of other things I've really wanted to buy. Trying to be disciplined and stay hustling on the barn during the daylight, so little of it these days, maybe it's the global warming .

No firewood cutting and no splitting over the last few days. I had a warped rotor on my pickup to turn down due to a big puddle coming off the highway recently. The other side had a stuck caliper pin that was not fun to deal with. The only good thing yesterday was picking up a self propelled Craftsman 4 in 1 leaf vac that needed a hose for $100. I had a hose for it. Today I got to use it and it does the job nicely. Even my wife commented on how well it worked. Lastly I installed my new tie rod assemblies on my Kioti NX4510HST today. I did however install grease fittings on them so that they can be greased. One question that I have is the present grease that is in the ball end. It is a creamy white that is super sticky. It almost feels like silicone. The outer grease fittings were a breeze to install. The inner grease fittings took some ingenuity. I drilled a hole from the backside using a 1/8" drill at about a 7 degree angle into the ball pocket. I did use grease on the drill to catch the chips. Next came a vertical hole for the grease fitting above the angled hole. The angled hole was blocked off by banging an oversized short screw with Loctite into it and grinding off the head. The fittings work great.

Sorry for the four posts in a row, didn’t realize there was gonna be so much good content to reply to!

I’m on the road right now with three of my kids and two of their friends to go to Texas to do some hog hunting. I knocked down the first five hours of driving and now my son is taking his turn.

Good luck!

The benefits of my son doing Karate. 😁😁. 1X4’ up to 1x12’s in unfinished white pine…. PERFECT kindling to get the stove HOT! And the old top down method.
You'll burn your house down with that stuff, you can't burn pine in Michigan, everyone knows it, the whole universe knows it 🤣.

I went to the Troy-Bilt web site to look at chippers... keep thinking I could use one to handle 4"-5" and smaller stuff. Alas it looks like outside of a chipper vacuum they discontinued the chippers. However, they do make chainsaws now... and there is a sale! Anxiously awaiting to hear reviews!

They had a big recall on these due to the knives or hammers coming apart and spewing metal. (Update) It was DR that had the spewing metal parts, not TroyBilt.

Had a good time at the towman show yesterday. Was probably the best it's been in years. Loads of trucks. Kinda down on the vendor count though. My cousin and I made a few new contacts. One of which is a company that does re cap on tires. With what tires cost these days, it's a welcome alternative.
Herea a few pictures from the show. Sorry I didn't take a lot of them. Too much to do in too short of time.

I’ve been back from my mountain place since Tuesday, spent 96 nights up there this year. Trying to get stuff done before the snow came. We took eleven loads of softwood rounds to our friends store, and one load of split oak to their cabin. We brought 4 cords of split oak down to our place in the valley, we still have 2-3 cords up there. Some split and some not, that can come down next year. I also brought a leaky tilt cylinder down to put new seals in it, my son and I got it nearly apart yesterday.
