Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

I was wondering if it burned cutters myself. Also, can it be set up to do all three chain configurations? FC, SS and FS?
If the machine actually works well and dose a good job. I could see owning one if I were to run a big saw shop down south and folks were constantly bringing in chains to be freshed up. Other than that. I'll pass, its just not practical enough for my needs and probably a pretty penny.

Yeah.. wouldn't make sense for me to own either. I bought an Oregon chain sharpener and seemed to spend more time changing the set up to accommodate the various pitches and profiles of chains that I have than I did sharpening. I stopped using it and went back to hand filing. I use a basic Stihl file holder and basic Husky depth gauge and get excellent results quickly... I don't worry about every tooth being exactly the same length either as they work independently... I haven't had any vibration problems doing that so will continue to do so. That gives me longer chain life too as I'm not turning lots of useable tooth into swarf while making the teeth all the same length.

Looks like you'd have a 14-16 meter turning radius on that bad boy lol.
Probably pulls pretty easy.
I haven't been ice fishing in a long time.

There’s a huge stack of hemlock that the prior owner had stickered in the barn plus I’ve done some myself. I going to take a count see if I have enough to do the kitchen floor

My wife takes them to her yoga studio in a Wortsboro . This one is smaller than a dough bowl . If I get the room to make multible at one time I’ll get a few retail locations that sell local crafts . The neversink deli has a big area for local craftsman to sell there wares.

Edit : Forgot to add that the price would be higher at the retail places as they cater to city people . A lot of them in my area

I saw it and liked it . Only thing I don’t like about it is the cooktop placement . Very awkward can’t reach both rear burners from one side

Just Jeff,
I get cut offs from work and split them down. 2x 10's get split to 1/2" or so. 2x6 and 2x4 get split to 1" or so. Speeco get s a little hot. Don't dare put your hand on the cylinder.

I had a commuter car, a Saturn SL2, that became a burner way too soon. I was putting on 140 miles per day and added a quart of oil every other day... It had 120K on it when I got rid of it and bought a Civic. The Civic only lasted 6 weeks... a tractor trailer took me out on a Thruway ramp. He changed lanes while on the ramp and crushed me between the trailer wheels and guard rail. I got another Civic... My son has it now. It's 15 years old and its got about 200K on it. It still runs strong without burning oil.

Had a 94 Isuzu trooper,.6vd1 v6 engine in it. Every month it would take a quart of oil. Just tossed a filter on it every now and then. Dumb thing leaked oil as much as it burned it. One of my favorite vehicles, I'd take another if I came across it.

Picked up a homelite 330 for free today, recoil is busted, has 24" bar and full skip chain on it. It looks rough, but figured for free I'll put some time in it and see if it runs.
