I'm wondering which products you guys recommend for sealant for base gaskets, crankcase use, etc. also, what, if anything, you add to dry gaskets? Thanks!

I used yamabond once. Worked good. Then next time i needed it i coukdn't find it so went and bought a tube of loctite 518. I like it more just cause it's easier to work with. Will only use 518 for now on.

For anyone that does give the 518 a try......be sure to allow it to set overnight before firing up the saw.

Every saw i have done gets done slow and usually waiting for more parts before fire up so i have been lucky cause i did not know that.

Loctite 518 is the best I've found.......it ain't cheap though.

Have you found any local places to buy it or is it a internet order only kinda thing? I have never seen 518 on the shelf anywhere so I just wondered.
