so what is the point of drying wood before you make something out of it? Is it to give it strength? When you fully stain it does the stain start to bubble or does moisture leak out if it’s not dry?
I just ask because I’m trying to make a small bench out of pine that’s not fully dry and I wanted to assemble it and then stain the ends and sides and call it complete. I want to know what the consequences of this would be if the wood is not fully dry.
Thanks!
