My coil seems to limit around 11.6. Wish it were higher, but it sure beats the 9.6 it was stock.

So a 7900 with a muff mod making close to 6.5-6.7 h.p. is not enough to pull a 36 is it a torque issue? Stihl says the 650 which makes the same power will pull a 36. Whats the diff? Other than 5 cc.

There is pulling a bar and then there is pulling it well. No subsitute for displacement with long bars, IMO.

For example both my 880 and 3120 (stock) seems kind of piggy with a short bar. But put a 42 or 50 inch bar on them and they don't seem to notice much whereas a small saw would slow down.

See the 9.6 is the reason that it runs a 372 bar on it......
