stihl 041... worth how much..?

I have a guy that is selling a stihl 041, says it runs great, newish chain and original bar with very little wear, for 200.00, maybe around 175-180 even and I was wondering if you thought it was worth this much. He said it doesn't have a chain brake, etc... old solid stihl. What do you fellas think?

Shake your fillings out

I ran one for years, and was happy with it.
They have decent power, and I got used to the wide body design.

$200 would be a bit high, but if it is in really, really, fine shape...

I sold mine with a busted handle and few screws missing last year for $100.

Be aware that parts are not available through dealers, all will be used unless you come across someone with a stash of NOS parts.

old saw, parts are hard to come by. it it a AV, it not a AV it will wreck you, and vibrate apart. great torque, power to weight is not great.

i would buy it for no more then 125.00

update... no 041

I just said screw it and went and bought a new ms290 and was done with it. A little lighter in the wallet now, for sure, but I am sure it will end up worth it in the end. Thanks for all of the comments and advice. I am finding myself on this site more and more lately. Thanks again.
