Stihl 261 running problem. Need advice

I went out and got a new spark plug and fuel filter. I did not get the canned fuel as it was 35$ a gallon yikes! As soon as im done typing this i will clean spark arrestor, and reset the saw. I will head up to the woods tomorrow morning and get back to you guys with the results. Thank you for all the advice i really appreciate it!!

Premix is that expensive? Yikes. Hope cleaning the saw as well as the new parts solves your problem.

Well i took the saw out and cut a cord and a half of larch with no restarting issue! So between restarting the mtronic system, plug and fuel filter something did the trick. Again thanks guys for the advice this isone heck of a site!

Excellent! Glad it is working well for you again. I don't know about you, but nothing makes me smile more than a nicely running saw after it has been giving me problems for awhile and the fixes have all been successful.
